Welcome to Week One of this Year’s 2019 National Rifle League season. Our overall Team Leader this week was Chico California, last year’s champion (2 time champions), with a 1593. They were led by Justin Nissen, who fired a 399 in 4-P. Second Place went to Sutter Gold (2 time league champion) with a 1586 led by Terry Graff & AJ Fedora who both fired a 397 4-P. Albion PA, (2 time league champion) was in third with a 1583 led by, Joe Schrader who fired a 397 Prone and Larry Pavolko 397 4-P. Rosyln NY was fourth with a 1577.
This week’s Top shooters are Hap Ricardo Nashville & Fred Greco of Roslyn, both with a 398 in prone, Abi Winegarden 393, in standing, Justin Nissen 399 in 4 position and Scott Corea in sporter rifle with a 372.
Our Top Junior Shooters are Colby Pecorella from Albion, with a 394 4-P; Scotty Rockett with a 392 in standing, Brianna Utz of Roslyn with a 369 prone and Micah Torp of Rochester with a 325. Our Top Senior Shooter was Hap Rocketto 398 Prone, Paul Ervin of New Holland 394, Wesley Shumaker Air 368 and Scott Correa Sporter Rifle 372.
This year the league has 37 teams in six divisions, North, East, Saratoga, in The Eastern Conference. South, West and Central in the Western Conference. Each week we will put together an all star team from each division for a division vs. division challenge. We will also do this with the juniors and seniors. At the end of the season we will have a first and second team All-Division Team posted for each Division. Like the last few seasons we will also continue with our Top Shots for each discipline split by conference.
We are once again using a web site for reporting scores. You can go directly to www.Natinional.RifleLeague.com and see all of the individual and team results. Please make every effort to have your team scores sent in on time, as soon as they are fired, by Saturday night at midnight at the latest.
The web site can break down the individual results in various ways such as by Division, it also includes senior and junior shooters, however this is based on a date of birth, team mangers or individuals need to input these dates of birth for this is be searched in this method.
The league is also on facebook where you can find updates, so look us up, share your team photos, and “like” us. Please share this e-mail with your teammates and fellow shooters.
